Flood Buckets Needed

Rev. David Morgret, (Mauriceville and Deweyville UMC’s, Southeast District) suffered a massive heart attack on Saturday, July 5 and is currently in Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, ICU, Beaumont in very serious condition.

Church Members Asked for Input on Paperwork
Over the next few weeks, United Methodists are invited to share their thoughts on the official paperwork of the church.
The Committee on Official Forms and Records, under the denomination’s General Council on Finance and Administration, is for the first time asking for input through an electronic public comment system. District Pinic 2008

The District Superintendent, Dr. Richard Burnham hosted the annual Pastor's Picnic at Mauriceville FUMC. The food was great and the pastors enjoyed fellowshipping with one another. Dr. Burnham led a devotional time with the pastors and then held a meeting with the pastors giving out important
information for the year. The picnic was held in the fellowship hall of the church and the host pastor was David Morgret. The children attending enjoyed their time by showing some of us how to sing and dance. The Mauriceville church provided the bbq and it was great! Everyone attending
had a wonderful time and wishes to thank Dr. Burnham for having the picnic.
